CognoDB didn't start as a product. It started as a need we couldn't satisfy with anything on the market.

At Wexa AI, we build autonomous agents that have to remember, reason, and act across long horizons — across tools, across users, across days. We needed a context store that could spin up per agent, be shared across a fleet, and never block on a cluster warming up. We tried vector databases (no edges), document stores (no real traversal), relational schemas (recursive CTEs everywhere), and heavyweight graph clusters (beautiful engines, engineered for the opposite of what we needed). Nothing fit. So we built it.

Today, CognoDB powers the context-graph layer behind Wexa AI's agent platform in production — storing the relationships, memory, and task dependencies that make agents feel like they actually know you.

CognoDB Cloud is that same engine, run as a managed service. We built it because the right answer to “where does agent memory live?” deserves a database designed for that question — and we ship it to teams who need the same foundation.

What we optimise for

  • Time to a working query. If it takes an afternoon to get connected, we have failed.
  • Honest numbers. Every performance figure we publish says what was measured and under what conditions.
  • Boring pricing. The rates are published, the invoice is itemised, and there is no better price behind a phone call.
  • No lock-in by design. Standard protocol, standard drivers, standard query language. Leaving should be a URI change.
